It’s been nearly 4 years since the World Trigger TV Anime has gone off the air, but during Jump Festa 2020 on December 21, it was announced that the third season of Daisuke Ashihara’s popular manga has been decided. A new PV was been released to coincide with the announcement.
The cast from the first season of the anime is returning for the new season, set to be animated once again at Toei Animation. There is no word on if the staff will be returning or not.

A previously released key visual for the World Trigger Event Shops in Tokyo & Osaka by character designer Toshihisa Kaiya was actually the new key visual for the upcoming season!
Daisuke Ashihara, the manga creator for World Trigger, commented on the news, saying “It’s been a year since [Black Clover] was moved to Jump Square, and I’m very grateful to see that a new anime season has been decided.” Tomo Muranaka, who voices Yuma Kuga exclaimed “let’s make the new season more exciting” and that she “has to eat chicken curry!”
World Trigger aired its first 73 episodes between October 5, 2014, and April 3, 2016. The series was simulcasted on Crunchyroll. The new season doesn’t have a broadcast date yet but will be screened once again on TV Asahi in Japan.
