Square Enix and developer Silicon Studio released the first game in the Bravely Default series on 3DS back in 2012, followed by the expanded For the Sequel version in 2013 and sequel Bravely Second: End Layer in 2015. Now the proper numbered followup is on the way, and Bravely Default II was officially revealed as a Nintendo Switch exclusive during last night’s The Game Awards event.
At the moment, the sequel is just set for a broad 2020 release. It’s billed as a successor to the original game that will have players venturing out with all-new Heroes of Light to experience a fresh story in a new world. Check out the announcement trailer:
