Crossed Hearts announced that it has licensed Mitomo Sasako’s OctoPiece dark fantasy manga for English release. A release date for the manga was not announced, as of the time of writing.

Sasako, who previously drew the artwork for the Danganronpa spinoff manga Danganronpa Gaiden: Killer Killer, released OctoPiece as a doujin title on the BOOTH marketplace in March 2026.
Crossed Hearts describes the main synopsis of OctoPiece as:
Set on the remote island nation of Arakam, where military might and faith stand as twin pillars of rule, this dark fantasy follows Yuzuki, a soldier consumed by a distorted sense of justice, and her fateful encounter with a wandering boy of unknown age who calls himself Furuoka.
Together, they are drawn into a story that blurs the line between conviction and madness.
This year, Crossed Hearts previously licensed The Matchmaker’s Fiancé: My Fiancé Won’t Leave Me Alone While I’m Finding Him the Ideal Bride, The Executioner of Grenimal, All-Rounder Maid Connie Ville, and Borrowing Your Textbook 175160. It also licensed Mei Fujimatsu’s Time is a Closet and Afternoon Tea for Two.
