A new main trailer and a main visual for the Iron Wok Jan TV anime have been released. It was also announced that Tomokazu Sugita will be part of the cast as Ryuji Bito, and that the ending song is “Naita Akuma” by EMUNIMINI.
Iron Wok Jan will begin airing on July 5. The anime is based on the Akita Shoten-published manga created by Shinji Saijo and supervised by Keiko Koyama. DrMaster describes the synopsis of the first volume as such:
Young, arrogant Jan, determined to be named the best cook, competes in local and nationwide competitions and does not lose his focus, even when his cooking makes some sick and other chefs sabotage him.
The manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 1995 to 2000, has inspired sequels and spin-offs.
