A teaser visual and new cast member have been revealed for the second cour of Magical Sisters LuluttoLilly, which will begin airing in Japan in October 2026. The first cour consisted of 12 total episodes and was broadcast in Japan from April 5, 2026 to June 21, 2026.
Voice actress Miyari Nemoto will join the anime’s voice cast for the second cour and will play idol fan Asahi Araki. Nemoto previously voiced Ruri Tanigawa from Ruri Rocks.
She joins a main voice cast that stars:
- • Mei Tachibana as Fu Nonoyama
- • Nao Ojika as Rui Nonoyama
- • Hiroki Nanami as Uguisu
- • Ai Kayano as Azuki
- • Fuka Izumi as Toko Kandachi
- • Fu Hirohara as Sena Aozono
Shintaro Doge is serving as director and original character designer for the anime series, with Mitsuyuki Masuhara (The Dinner Table Detective director, Gungrave) as assistant director, Yuko Kakihara (The Aquatope on White Sand and Blue Orchestra series composer) as series composer and scriptwriter, Namiko Torii (The Girl from the Other Side [2022] co-main animator, Agents of the Four Seasons) as character designer, and Hirono Nishiki and Asami Sodeyama (Mahotsukai Precure!! ~Mirai Days~) as character designers. Studio Pierrot is in charge of the animation production.
Magical Sisters LuluttoLilly is part of the Pierrot Magical Girl Series and is its sixth entry overall. Previous Pierrot Magical Girl Series titles include 1983-1984’s Magical Angel Creamy Mami, 1984-1985’s Persia, the Magic Fairy, 1985-1986’s Magical Emi, the Magic Star, 1986’s Pastel Yumi, the Magic Idol, and 1998’s Fancy Lala.
Bandai Namco Filmworks has streamed the series on its official YouTube channel with multiple subtitles. It is also streaming in the U.S. and Canada on Tubi.
The main synopsis of Magical Sisters LuluttoLilly is described by Bandai Namco Filmworks as:
Fuu Nonoyama – an innocent elementary school student very excited for Summer Vacation.
Rui Nonoyama – a modest, hard-working Junior High School Student.
Two sisters that only recently have become distant from each other…
One day, Fuu encountered a mysterious spaceship and received magical powers. Rui also had received magical powers. Fuu and Rui transform into the grown-up versions they wish to be.
However, there are two rules: You will only have magical powers for one year and No one should know about your magical powers.
The two of them did not know each other’s secret! Each of them will become idols!
