A teaser visual for the upcoming Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 has been released, providing a look at an older Rudeus Greyrat with the character Fitts in the background. It was also revealed that Yumi Uchiyama will continue to voice Rudeus.

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 is set to premiere sometime in 2023. The first season of the show ran from 2020 to 2021 with two split cours.

The anime is based on the Kadokawa-published isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote with illustrations from Shirotaka, which are published under the MF Books label. The light novels ended this November with 26 volumes. 

Seven Seas describes the series as:

Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!

The first season’s main staff includes Manabu Okamoto (Gamers! director) as director and series composer, Hiroki Hirano (Sword Art Online: Alicization and Symphogear XV episode director and storyboarder) as assistant director, and Kazutaka Sugiyama (Chainsaw Man character designer, Her Blue Sky co-animation director) as character designer. The second cour saw animation director Mizuki Takahashi (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan co-character designer) joining Sugiyama as character designer. Studio Bind is the animation production company.

Mushoku Tensei began in 2012 as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs.
