“Polite Society | TAKE ONE Watch Online” Nida Manzoor’s POLITE SOCIETY closed Glasgow Film Festival 2023 on a high as one of the festival’s strongest and most creative films. This modern Jane Austen story blends CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON with SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and just a dash of GET OUT. Furthermore, it does…
“The Artifice Girl | TAKE ONE Watch Online” Low-budget, high-concept sci-fi does not get much better than THE ARTIFICE GIRL. Using a photorealistic AI avatar of a young girl, a man ensnares online predators and hands them over to the authorities. Across multiple acts, the film plays out like a fly on the wall, as…

Too much pride perhaps, driven by one’s insecurities and…
“Adopting Audrey | TAKE ONE Watch Online” ADOPTING AUDREY starts with a title card saying that “A surprising amount of what follows is true.” What follows is a slight but nonetheless incisive examination of modern generational divides and the difficulties of communication across the chasm of very different life experiences. ADOPTING AUDREY has its European…

The concept of “In-Yun” speaks about fate and predestination. It says that the lives you lived previously, and…
“Girl | TAKE ONE | Sundance 2023 Watch Online” Following an immigrant mother and daughter in Glasgow, Adura Onashile’s GIRL is a gentle and sometimes hypnotic view of a life laced with the after-effects of trauma. Although the film shows how it affects those around you, Onashile’s feature debut achieves this with its interest in…
