I know everything I am looking for is here, watch movies, watch series, education, games, exams, news, current events and many more.
“Köln 75 | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” Tales of plucky youths and one-night-only performances are both familiar to music history – or perhaps more accurately, music lore. One such occasion was Keith Jarrett’s now-legendary performance in Cologne in January 1975. An entirely improvised one-hour concert at the Cologne Opera House became the best-selling solo…
“Hen | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” A close-up of a chicken’s pulsating cloaca pushing out an egg – this is the opening of György Pálfi’s HEN. Get used to it, because this is not the last time this film stares down the barrel of its star. Riding in the wake of FLOW (2024), HEN…
“The Good Boy | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” THE GOOD BOY’s establishing shots offer obscene proof that teenage delinquent Tommy (Anson Boon) is not, yet, a ‘Good Boy’: theft, criminal damage, fouling a public place, drunk and disorderly, possession with intent to supply and sexual activity in a public lavatory – eight offences in…
It was love at first sight. It felt like scouring the mall, dipping in and out of sprawling department stores in search of a specific, elusive item, only to finally find what you’re looking for. Only, I didn’t even know I was searching for something like the Xteink X3, because I never dared dream of…
“Michael | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” Michael Jackson is often cited as a contender for the greatest entertainer of all time. That reputation makes the dullness of MICHAEL, as it moonlimps to its vapid conclusion, all the more remarkable. Before that, a few flourishes allow it to bumble through a script and edit that…
“Omaha | TAKE ONE Magazine | Watch Online” The emotional weight OMAHA craves comes, despite some other inelegant reaches for it, from the performances of the core cast. As a cinematic whole, Cole Webley’s debut feature is perhaps too keen to get bottom lips quivering, and you can sense that eagerness. Fortunately, the empathy generated…
“Exit 8 | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” The ‘liminal space’ trend was never a truly new phenomenon. A post-pandemic acceleration of internet culture foregrounded a longstanding fascination with unusual spaces. That ephemeral feeling of danger as you walk down an abandoned corridor or through an eerie public space is well-established in pop culture. Internet-derived…
“Primavera | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” In the unforgiving world of 18th-Century Venice, orphans are commodities marketed on their musical prowess. Put on display for the entertainment of intrigued bourgeoisie, the girls of Ospedale della Pietà serve as little more than items to be wedded off to widowed gentlemen and war heroes in exchange…
“To Dance is to Resist | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” The feature documentary TO DANCE IS TO RESIST, directed by filmmaker and artist Julian Lautenbacher, covers how in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, a world of underground raves, performers, and artists persists despite the war. The film spans from February 24th, 2022, the first day of…
“Departures | TAKE ONE Magazine Watch Online” DEPARTURES has an unabashed fondness for its influences, yet its own flashes of filmmaking personality add freshness to the echoes of Danny Boyle’s TRAINSPOTTING and Andrew Haigh’s work. Even if the film begins a little too energetically to let its emotional moments land, it settles into an engaging…
