After their initial January 6 appearance was postponed due to the raid on the Capitol, Best Coast’s promised appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired on Thursday night (January 21). Bethany Cosentino, Bobb Bruno, and their band played “Master of My Own Mind” from 2020’s Always Tomorrow. Watch them perform below.
Always Tomorrow marked Best Coast’s first studio LP in five years, following 2015’s California Nights. In 2018, the duo dropped a children’s album called Best Kids. Last summer, Best Coast released a new version of their hit 2010 song “Boyfriend.” Lyrics to the new version included different pronouns to make the song more inclusive to LGBTQ+ listeners.
