Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution’s 3rd Part „EUREKA“ to be All-New Hand-Drawn Film
With an 18-second teaser trailer, the title of the third part of the trilogy film project based on the 50-episode Eureka Seven TV anime series was announced as EUREKA/Symphonic Psalms Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution at the screening event for its second part ANEMONE held at the Shinjuku Wald 9 theater in Tokyo on December 23. The all-new hand-drawn anime film is set to be released in Japan in 2021.

The 93-minute first part Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution I was released in Japan on September 16, 2017, then the 95-minute second part ANEMONE: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution followed on November 10, 2018. The third part was originally scheduled to be released before the end of 2019. The producer of the project, Masahiko Minami said at the event, „We will do robot action by hand-drawn animation in this day and age. Because this is an all-new film, we appreciate it if you can give us some time.“
Director Kyoda Tomoki explained the concept of the final chapter to the fans, „I originally wanted to do a story about Eureka in this series. I can’t end this series without telling about the girl properly. I want to tell a story that can get close to her as much as possible.“
