Inhaltsverzeichnis
If you are wondering how to go about it, here’s our step-by-step guide on how to deactivate iMessages:
Pre-requisites:
Active internet connectivity
An Apple device with Apple ID
Steps to deactivate iMessages before switching to other operating system
Head to Settings on your iPhone
Tap on Messages and toggle the slider to off
Repeat the same for FaceTime
Once done, open the Message app and try sending some messages to your friends and make sure to see a green bubble everytime. Also, if you are planning to move to another operating system, ensure to do this process a couple of days before as it takes some time to get deactivated from the server.
In case that does not work for you or have already switched to another smartphone, there’s a way to do the same manually as well.
- Open ‘http://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage’ from any web browser
- Look for the option ‘No longer have your iPhone?’ and click on it
- Enter the phone number on which the service was activated and click Send Code button
- Enter the code received on your phone and wait for the confirmation message.
