Jesus and Buddha Sing Karaoke Together in Trailer for 3rd Season of Saint Young Men

The third season of the live-action Saint Young Men adaptation of the comedy manga series from Hikaru Nakamura will be airing on NHK on January 11 and 18. To get fans laughing early, a 2-minute trailer for the godly series was posted on the YouTube channel for the drama series depicting Jesus helping Buddha with his phone and turning water into tea, a popular Japanese beverage.

The series features Kenichi Matsuyama playing Jesus, complete with a crown of thorns, and Shota Sometani as Buddha. Saint Young Men is directed by Yuichi Fukuda (Gintama live-action film, Hentai Kamen), who his leaving his own comedic flair on the live-action series.

After the third season finishes on NHK, Saint Young Men will debut on Netflix on January 20 and have a limited theatrical run for one week from January 24. The second season of the drama had its theatrical debut on June 6, and was supposed to air on NHK on October 5 and 12 but was interrupted by Typhoon Hagibis and rescheduled to air on NHK on January 25, after the third season.
