Sumire Uesaka’s New Music Video Set in Future City „Neo Tokyo“
The official YouTube channel for 28-year-old anime voice actress Sumire Uesaka has posted a full-length music video for „Neo Tokyo Shouka/Neo Tokyo Singing,“ the lead track from her fourth album „NEO PROPAGANDA“ to be released in Japan on January 22, 2020.
The video’s story is set in a future city „Neo Tokyo“ where an artificial intelligence „Big Mother Maria“ created by its privileged class members takes a full control. With the hands of the workers who are brainwashed by Maria, a false festival for peace is about to be held. In such a society, the story centers on Sumire, a girl belonging to an opera company, and Neo Kato, a student in the privileged class student. Both of them have their own mission, but they fall in love with each other. Uesaka portrays the three main characters all by herself: Big Mother Maria, Sumire, and Neo Kato.
In the ongoing winter 2020 season, she is cast as Mari Morino in Asteroid in Love, Karin Nanase in In/Spectre, and Kokomi Kikyouin in Hatena☆Illusion.
