Rurouni Kenshin Manga Author Draws Stunning Key Visual for 25th Anniversary Exhibition

The official website for „Rurouni Kenshin 25th Anniversary Exhibition,“ the first art exhibition for Nobuhiro Watsuki’s internationally popular action jidaigeki manga series, opens today with a key visual featuring the protagonist Kenshin Himura newly drawn by the author himself.

The exhibition is held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the manga, which started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994. Its main attraction is 200 original drawings from the original 1994-1999 series, as well as the author’s creation memo and character references for the ongoing sequel The Hokkaido Arc. In addition, various materials from the manga’s anime/live-action film adaptations and the main character standees will be also displayed.

„Rurouni Kenshin 25th Anniversary Exhibition“ is scheduled to be held at Gallery AaMo in Tokyo Dome City from April 24 to June 7, 2020. The ticket price for adults is 1,400 yen (pre-sale) / 1,600 yen (day ticket), for middle and high-school students is 800 yen / 1,000 yen, for elementary students is 500 yen / 600 yen.
