The new login method is available for both new as well as existing players. New players, like always, can login into the game by choosing the Call of Duty account option at the login screen, but the existing players will have to first link their account.
Interestingly, Activision is offering a free Outrider-Arctic skin free for linking their COD game with COD account.
Do note that you’ll need a Call of Duty account to link with the game. If you haven’t created one, head to ‘https://profile.callofduty.com/cod/register-email’.
If you are wondering how to do it, follow our step-by-step guide
Open the game on your smartphone and use the usual method to login.
From the lobby screen, tap on the gear icon and then again tap on the icon that shows currently linked social media account with the game from the top right corner or refer to the screenshot below
Click on the Call of Duty button and the game will redirect the player to the login page of the Call of Duty account.
Enter the existing COD account credentials and tap on the Login now button to link the account with the game.
