The 7th Yu-Gi-Oh! TV Anime Series „SEVENS“ is Set for April 2020
Following the initial announcement in July, it is officially revealed today that the seventh TV series from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise, titled Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS, is set to premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates in April 2020. It will be produced as the franchise’s 20th anniversary series.

For the first time in the franchise’s history, Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS features an elementary school child as its protagonist. And its duel adopts a new set of rules called „Rush Duel.“
15-year-old Hiiro Ishibashi, who voiced Umi in the Children of the Sea anime feature film this year, is cast as the 11-year-old protagonist Yuga Oudou. And Taku Yashiro as Tatsuhisa „Luke“ Kamijo, Natsuki Hanae as Gakuto Sougetsu, and Tomori Kusunoki as Romin Kirishima are included in the main voice cast.
Nobuhiro Kondo (Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation) served as director, alongside series composition writer Toshimitsu Takeuchi (ēlDLIVE) and two character designers: Kazuko Tadano (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) and Hiromi Matsushita. In place of the previous six series‘ Studio Gallop, Bridge (The Royal Tutor) newly works on anime production.

Synopsis:
Yuga Oudou is a fifth-grade student at The Seventh Goha elementary school. He calls his invention „Road“ and develops various „Road“ every day. He has felt that the duels managed by adults are cramped and has completed a new rule that everyone could enjoy. One day, Luke in the next class reports a rumor about „The King of Duel.“ Being filled with curiosity, Yuga and Luke arrive at a significant stone monument, and a mysterious person appears in front of it. To be recognized as „The King of Duel,“ they must win at the duels within a limited time! „I can win with ‚Rush Duel,‘ my own idea!“ Yuga and Luke, the story of two boys who change the cramped world with new duels now begins.
