Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Fine Film Has Sold 500,000 Tickets in Japan
The official website for the Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Fine film reported on December 17 that the 115-minute film had sold 500,000 tickets in Japan in eight weeks since its release on October 26, 2019.
Thanks to the seven-part bonus sequel novels written by the original novel author Fumiaki Maruto, it stayed in the Japanese box office top 10 for seven consecutive weeks. By its eighth weekend, it earned a very good 700 million yen from its domestic run, becoming the 16th top-grossing Japanese anime film of 2019 along with KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson.
To commemorate the box office success, the film’s official website has started offering 12 character icons using its second teaser visuals for free.
