VIDEO: Sayaka Sasaki Sings Zettai Karen Children OP for Her 2nd Anison Cover Album
As part of her debut 10th-anniversary project, 37-year-old singer Sayaka Sasaki will release her second anime/tokusatsu cover song album „AYAKAVER.2“ on January 29, 2020.
Her record label Lantis has started streaming a two-minute music video for the lead track from the album, „Over The Future“ (the 2008-2009 TV anime Zettai Karen Children OP theme), which was originally performed by three-member girl group Karen Girl’s.
Sasaki won the 3rd All Japan Anison Grand Prix in 2009, then made her professional singer debut with her first single „Seisai no Ripeno“ (Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra OP) in January of the following year. Since then, she has performed theme songs for Nichijo, Card Fight!! Vanguard, So, I Can’t Play H!, Broken Blade, Garo: The Animation, Battle Spirits – Burning Soul, Girls beyond the youth KOYA, Bakuon!!, ID-0, and Girls und Panzer das Finale. Her first cover album „SAYAKAVER.“ including „Just Communication“ (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing OP) and „Connect“ (Puella Magi Madoka Magica OP) was released on March 25, 2015.
