I know everything I am looking for is here, watch movies, watch series, education, games, exams, news, current events and many more.
“Woken | TAKE ONE | Reviews Watch Online” Premiering at the Glasgow Film Festival 2024, WOKEN is a sci-fi thriller that packs a punch disproportionate to its small scale and short length. Despite some unfortunately clumsy tropes deployed in the third act, WOKEN still has enough twists and turns and enough contemporary relevance to be…
“Jericho Ridge | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” The first shot of Deputy Tabitha ‘Tabby’ Temple (Nikki Amuka-Bird) shows her at her bathroom sink, knocking back painkillers before hobbling along her house, her foot encased in a large cast, to get herself ready to drive into work at the Jericho Ridge sheriff’s office. The isolated…
“Radical | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” A teacher from out of town throws away the rule book when he takes a job at Jose Urbina Lopez Elementary School in Matamoros, a Mexican border city so close to America its residents can see Texas. Poverty, crime and corruption are rife. Not long after the school…
“Robot Dreams | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” A plethora of animated films are released yearly, and their aims are often rudimental entertainment, intending to trigger childlike wonder. Films such as the DESPICABLE ME franchise are harmless distractions for children, but they often don’t aim high or suitably enrich on an emotional or intellectual level….
“Sorcery (Brujería) | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” SORCERY (BRUJERÍA) tells the story of the trial on Chiloé Island off the coast of Chile when a group of Huilliche men called La Recta Provincia were tried as witches. It’s a fascinating story whose adaptation here, unfortunately, doesn’t do justice to the real-life tale. Though there…
“Hundreds of Beavers | TAKE ONE Watch Online” There’s a danger of over-complicating HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS; this is a story of man versus beaver (hundreds of them) with a gag rate as high as AIRPLANE and Marge vs. the Monorail. It could be about the embarrassment of trying and failing repeatedly. Our hero, an applejack…
“Falling Into Place | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” Written, directed, and starring Aylin Tezel, FALLING INTO PLACE echoes Sally Rooney’s Normal People: it follows two young lovers who come in and out of each other’s lives while trying to come to terms with the heartbreaking hands they have been dealt. Tezel’s Kira is stuck…
“The Dead Don’t Hurt | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” Viggo Mortensen’s sophomore feature follows in the footsteps of his debut, FALLEN. Once again, he writes, directs, composes, and stars – though the last hat – as he explained in a Q&A following the UK premiere screening at Glasgow Film Festival – was one he…
“Alien: Romulus | TAKE ONE Watch Online” Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor was the ALIEN sequel bearing the name of the king who – according to tradition – founded the Eternal City. ALIEN: ROMULUS is indebted to the legends and legacy of the 1979 original and its descendants. The film is in thrall…
“Black Dog | TAKE ONE | Watch Online” Feature debuts are tricky. They can be masterpieces that stand the test of time, like Sidney Lumet’s 12 ANGRY MEN, or gain instant universal acclaim like Charlotte Wells’ AFTERSUN did in 2022. More often than not, they slide under the radar as the craft on show is…
